Send Files From Android to iPhone

Android and iPhone don't share a one-tap sharing button on most phones. Upload from Chrome, scan a QR code with the iPhone camera, and the original files arrive.

Step by step

  1. Open Enzonic Send in Chrome on Android

Go to send.enzonic.com in Chrome or another browser, or open the Enzonic Send Android app.

  2. Pick the files

Tap the upload area. Android opens its picker, where you can choose photos and videos or browse files and folders.

  3. Upload

Tap send and keep the browser open until the upload completes. A QR code and a 6-digit code appear.

  4. Scan on the iPhone

Point the iPhone Camera app at the QR code on the Android screen and tap the link, or type the code at send.enzonic.com/receive.

  5. Save on the iPhone

Download in Safari. The file goes to Files > Downloads; use Share > Save Image or Save Video to move media into Photos.

Why this is harder than it should be

iPhones have AirDrop. Android phones have their own nearby-sharing feature. On most phones, the two do not talk to each other, so the usual fallback is a messaging app, which tends to shrink photos and videos to save data. Send a 4K clip through a chat and the friend with the iPhone may get a blurry, smaller copy.

A browser-based transfer avoids both problems. The Android phone uploads the original file, the iPhone downloads the same file, and the only thing connecting them is a QR code or a 6-digit code.

Sending, step by step

On the Android phone

  1. Open Chrome and go to send.enzonic.com. Any modern browser works, and so does the Enzonic Send Android app from the apps page.
  2. Tap the upload area. Android shows its file picker. On recent versions you may first see the photo picker with your Photos and Albums; tap the menu or Browse to get to other files such as PDFs, documents or the Downloads folder.
  3. Select one or more items. Long-press to start a multi-select in most pickers.
  4. Optionally set an expiry (1 hour, 1 day or 3 days without an account), a password, or a download limit.
  5. Tap send. Keep Chrome in the foreground until the upload finishes.

When it is done you see a share link, a 6-digit code and a QR code.

On the iPhone

  1. Open the Camera app and aim it at the QR code on the Android screen.
  2. Tap the link banner. Safari opens the download page.
  3. Tap download. Safari saves the file to Files > Downloads.
  4. For photos and videos: open the file in Files, tap Share, and choose Save Image or Save Video to add it to the Photos app.

If you sent several files, the iPhone receives one zip. Tap it in Files and iOS extracts it into a folder. Then select the photos inside and save them to Photos from the share sheet.

When the iPhone isn't in the same room

The QR code is only one of three ways to hand over a transfer:

  • Send the link in any chat or email. Messaging apps compress media you attach, but they do not touch a link.
  • Read out or text the 6-digit code. The iPhone user opens send.enzonic.com/receive in Safari and types it. See share files with a code.

Both phones do not need to be online at the same time. Once the upload finishes, you can close Chrome, and the files stay available until the expiry you picked.

Size limits and what they mean for video

Situation Limit per transfer Longest expiry
No account 500 MB 3 days
Free account (email or Google) 2 GB 7 days

A handful of photos fits easily in 500 MB. Video is different: a few minutes of high-resolution Android footage can go past it. Sign in for the 2 GB limit, or send long clips separately. For anything over 2 GB, Enzonic Send is not the right tool; check our guide on sending large video files for options.

A few practical tips

  • Original quality is kept. Enzonic Send does not compress or convert files. What you pick on Android is what the iPhone gets.
  • File formats. Most Android photos are JPEG and most videos are MP4, which iPhones open without issues. Unusual formats will download fine but may need a specific app to open.
  • Privacy. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, but the service is not end-to-end encrypted. For personal documents, add a password and set the download limit to 1.
  • Switching phones entirely? Use Apple's Move to iOS app when setting up the iPhone. It is built to move contacts, messages and the whole photo library. Enzonic Send is better for the odd file afterwards.

Sending back the other way

The reverse trip works the same, with Safari uploading and Chrome downloading. One difference: iPhone photos are often HEIC. Read iPhone to Android for how that plays out, or the AirDrop alternative page for a broader comparison.

FAQ

How do I send photos from Android to iPhone without losing quality?

Use a file transfer instead of a chat app. Enzonic Send keeps original files, so photos and videos arrive at the same resolution and size they had on the Android phone.

Can I send files from Android to iPhone without installing an app?

Yes. Both phones just need a browser: Chrome on Android to upload, and Safari on the iPhone to download.

Does the iPhone need to be nearby?

No. Scanning a QR code is handy when you are together, but you can also send the link or the 6-digit code to someone anywhere.

Can I move everything from my old Android to a new iPhone this way?

It is not designed for that. For a full phone switch, use Apple's Move to iOS app during iPhone setup. Enzonic Send is for individual files and batches up to 2 GB.

What happens to the files after they are downloaded?

They stay available until the expiry you chose, or until the download limit is reached, and are then deleted automatically. You can also delete them sooner.
