Send Files From PC to iPhone

Drag files into your PC browser, point your iPhone camera at the QR code, and they download straight to the Files app. No cable, no iTunes, no app on the PC.

Up to 500 MB · Sign in for 2 GB

Step by step

  1. Open Enzonic Send on the PC

Go to send.enzonic.com in Edge, Chrome or Firefox on your Windows PC.

  2. Drag in your files

Drag files or a whole folder from File Explorer onto the page, or click to browse. Multiple files and folders are zipped automatically.

  3. Upload

Press send. A share link, a 6-digit code and a QR code appear when the upload finishes.

  4. Scan with the iPhone camera

Open the Camera app, point it at the QR code on the PC screen and tap the link that pops up. Safari opens the download page.

  5. Download and save

Tap download. The file goes to Files > Downloads; from there, use Share > Save Image or Save Video to put media in Photos.

Moving a file from a Windows PC to an iPhone sounds simple, yet the built-in options are awkward: iTunes or the Apple Devices app with a cable, emailing yourself, or uploading to a cloud drive and finding it again on the phone. A browser transfer with a QR code skips all of that. Nothing to install on the PC, and on the iPhone the only app you need is the Camera.

The QR code method

On the PC

  1. Open send.enzonic.com in Edge, Chrome or Firefox.
  2. Open File Explorer, select your files, and drag them onto the page. You can drag a whole folder too; it gets zipped in the browser with subfolders kept. If you prefer, click the upload area and browse instead.
  3. Choose an expiry if the default does not suit you. Without an account you can pick 1 hour, 1 day or 3 days.
  4. Click send and wait for the upload to finish. A QR code appears on screen, alongside a 6-digit code and a link.

On the iPhone

  1. Open the Camera app and point it at the QR code on your monitor. Do not press the shutter.
  2. A yellow link banner appears. Tap it, and Safari opens the download page.
  3. Tap download. Safari may ask whether you want to download the file; tap Download.
  4. Tap the downloads icon in Safari's address bar to see progress, or open the Files app.

That is the whole flow. Sending without an account works for up to 500 MB per transfer. With a free account, the limit goes up to 2 GB and transfers can stay up for 7 days.

Where the file ends up, and what to do with it

Safari puts downloads in Files > Downloads. By default that folder is in iCloud Drive; you can change it to On My iPhone under Settings > Safari > Downloads. What to do next depends on the file:

File type What to do on the iPhone
Photo (JPG, PNG, HEIC) Open it in Files, tap Share, choose Save Image to add it to Photos
Video (MP4, MOV) Open it in Files, tap Share, choose Save Video
Zip (several files or a folder) Tap the zip in Files; iOS extracts it into a folder next to it
PDF Opens in Files; use Share to send it to Books or another app
Word, Excel, PowerPoint Opens in a preview; use Share to open it in Pages, Numbers, Keynote or the Microsoft apps if installed
Audio (MP3, M4A) Plays in Files; music apps differ in how they import files

Files are sent unchanged, so a video arrives at the same quality it had on the PC.

No camera handy? Use the code

If you cannot scan the screen, for example the PC is in another room or someone else is sending to you, use the 6-digit code instead:

  1. In Safari on the iPhone, go to send.enzonic.com/receive.
  2. Type the six digits.
  3. Download as above.

You can also paste the share link into a chat with yourself. And if you do this often, the Enzonic Send app for iPhone has a scanner and a receive screen built in.

Sending big things: folders and videos

  • Folders. Drag the folder itself, not its contents, to keep the structure. On the phone, one tap on the zip in Files restores the folder. More on this in send a folder online.
  • Long videos. Check the size in File Explorer first (right-click > Properties). Over 500 MB, sign in with a free account; over 2 GB, split the video into parts or use a cable.
  • Many small files. Selecting them all at once is fine. They are zipped into one download, which is easier than tapping through dozens of links.

Troubleshooting

Camera shows nothing when pointed at the QR code. Check Settings > Camera > Scan QR Codes is on. Make the browser window larger so the code is bigger, and reduce glare on the screen.

Download seems to vanish. Open Files, tap Browse, then Downloads. If you changed the download location in Safari settings, look there instead.

Zip won't open. Make sure the download finished; a partial zip will not extract. Download it again from the same link if the transfer has not expired.

Link says the transfer is gone. It either expired, reached its download limit, or the sender deleted it. Upload again from the PC.

Upload them at send.enzonic.com on the PC, then scan the QR code with your iPhone camera and download in Safari. The files land in the Files app.

Where do downloaded files go on iPhone?

Safari saves downloads to the Downloads folder in the Files app, which is in iCloud Drive by default. You can change the location in Settings > Safari > Downloads.

How do I get a video from Files into the Photos app?

Open the video in the Files app, tap the Share button and choose Save Video. Photos work the same way with Save Image.

Type the 6-digit code at send.enzonic.com/receive in Safari instead, or use the scanner in the Enzonic Send iPhone app.
