Send Files From Phone to Laptop

Pick files on your phone, upload them in the browser, then type the 6-digit code on your laptop. Works with any phone and any laptop, on any network.

Step by step

  1. Open the site on your phone

Go to send.enzonic.com in Safari, Chrome or any modern mobile browser, or open the Enzonic Send app.

  2. Choose your files

Tap the upload area and pick photos, videos or documents from your gallery or file manager.

  3. Upload and note the code

Start the upload. When it finishes, a 6-digit code, a link and a QR code appear on your phone.

  4. Type the code on the laptop

On the laptop, open send.enzonic.com/receive and enter the 6 digits, then download.

Cables need the right connector and a driver that cooperates. Emailing yourself hits attachment limits. Cloud drives want you signed in on both devices. A code-based transfer skips all of that: you upload on the phone, read six digits off the screen, and type them on the laptop.

The short version

  1. Phone: open send.enzonic.com, tap the upload area, choose files, upload.
  2. Phone: a 6-digit code appears.
  3. Laptop: open send.enzonic.com/receive, type the code, download.

That is the whole flow. The sections below cover the picker on each phone, when the QR code is the better choice, and what to check if something does not arrive the way you expected.

Choosing files on an iPhone

In Safari, tapping the upload area opens a menu with three choices:

  • Photo Library opens the Photos picker. Tap to select several items, then tap Add (or Done, depending on iOS version).
  • Take Photo or Video opens the camera and uploads the new shot directly.
  • Choose File opens the Files app, where you can pick from On My iPhone, iCloud Drive or connected storage.

One thing to know: depending on your iOS version and settings, the Photo Library picker may give the browser a converted copy, for example turning HEIC photos into JPEG or HEVC video into a more widely compatible format. If you need the exact original, save the item to the Files app first (Share > Save to Files in Photos) and pick it with Choose File. Sending a video from iPhone in full quality walks through this in detail.

Choosing files on Android

In Chrome on Android, tapping the upload area opens the system picker. On most recent Android versions it shows recent photos and videos first, with a menu or Browse option to reach the full file manager, Downloads, Google Drive or an SD card. Long-press an item to start multi-select, then tap the rest.

Samsung Internet, Firefox and other browsers hand off to the same system picker, so the steps look much the same.

Every transfer gets all three. Which one to use depends on which device is receiving.

Receiving device Easiest option Why
Laptop next to you 6-digit code Quick to read off the phone and type
Laptop somewhere else Share link Paste it into a chat or note you can open on the laptop
Another phone QR code Point the camera at the screen and open the link

So for phone to laptop, the code is the default. The QR code earns its place in the opposite direction: when you upload on a laptop, a phone can scan the code on the laptop screen and download immediately. The QR code guide shows that flow, and the Enzonic Send apps can scan codes directly.

On the laptop

Any modern browser works: Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS. Go to send.enzonic.com/receive, enter the six digits and download.

  • A single file downloads as-is.
  • Multiple files arrive as one zip. On Windows, right-click it in File Explorer and choose Extract All. On a Mac, double-click it in Finder. On a Chromebook, open it from the Files app.

The phone does not need to stay awake while the laptop downloads. The upload is stored for the expiry time you chose (1 hour, 1 day or 3 days without an account; up to 7 days signed in), so you can also grab it later.

If something goes wrong

The code says not found. Check the digits, and make sure the transfer has not expired or hit its download limit. If you set a download limit of 1 and already opened it once, upload again.

The upload stalls on the phone. Keep the browser in the foreground with the screen on until the upload finishes. Mobile browsers often pause background tabs, and Enzonic Send does not resume interrupted uploads, so a stalled upload has to be restarted.

The file is too big. Anonymous transfers top out at 500 MB. A free account raises that to 2 GB. Long 4K videos can go past that; trim them or send in parts.

Photos arrived as JPEG instead of HEIC. That conversion happened on the iPhone before upload. Use the Files route described above.

Keeping it private

Anyone with the code can download until it expires, so for personal documents add a password, set a download limit of 1, and choose the shortest expiry that works. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, though not end-to-end encrypted. You can delete a transfer yourself as soon as the laptop has it.

FAQ

Do my phone and laptop need to be on the same Wi-Fi?

No. The upload goes to Cloudflare's network, so the laptop can download over any connection, even after the phone has gone offline.

Should I use the code or the QR code for phone to laptop?

Use the 6-digit code. Laptops are awkward at scanning QR codes, while typing six digits takes a few seconds. The QR code is handier when a phone is on the receiving end.

Will my photos and videos lose quality?

No. Enzonic Send does not recompress anything. Files arrive as they were handed to the browser, so pick originals on your phone to get originals on the laptop.

Can I send many photos at once?

Yes. Select as many as you like; multiple files are zipped in the browser and arrive as one zip, up to 500 MB without an account or 2 GB signed in.

Does this work with an iPhone and a Windows laptop?

Yes. It runs in the browser, so any phone works with any laptop: iPhone to Windows, Android to Mac, Android to Chromebook and so on.
