Step by step

  1. Open Enzonic Send on the phone

Open Chrome on Android and go to send.enzonic.com, or use the Enzonic Send Android app.

  2. Select your files

Tap the upload area and choose photos, videos or documents from the Android picker. You can select several at once.

  3. Upload

Tap send and leave Chrome open until the upload finishes. Note the 6-digit code.

  4. Receive on the PC

On the computer, open any browser, go to send.enzonic.com/receive and type the code.

  5. Open Downloads

The file saves to the Downloads folder. If you sent several files, right-click the zip and choose Extract All.

Android phones and Windows PCs can connect in several ways, but most of them involve something: a USB cable and the right connection mode, a pairing app installed on both ends, or a cloud drive you have to upload to and then dig through. When all you want is to get a few photos or a document onto the computer, a code you type into a browser is the shortest path.

Before you start

  • The phone needs a browser. Chrome is the default on most Android phones; Samsung Internet, Firefox and Edge work too.
  • The PC needs a browser. Nothing to install.
  • Check the size. Without an account you can send up to 500 MB per transfer. A free account (email or Google) raises that to 2 GB.
  • Both devices need internet access, but not the same network.

Send from Android

  1. Open Chrome and go to send.enzonic.com.
  2. Tap the upload area. Android opens its picker. Recent versions often open the photo picker first, showing Photos and Albums. To pick something else, like a PDF in Downloads or a file in a WhatsApp folder, tap the menu or Browse to switch to the full file browser.
  3. Select what you need. In most pickers you long-press the first item, then tap the rest.
  4. Optional settings before you send:
    • Expiry: 1 hour, 1 day or 3 days without an account; up to 7 days when signed in.
    • Password if the files are private.
    • Download limit of 1 if only you will download them.
  5. Tap send and keep Chrome on screen until the upload completes. You get a link, a QR code and a 6-digit code.

Receive on the PC

  1. On the computer, open Edge, Chrome or Firefox and go to send.enzonic.com/receive.
  2. Type the six digits and click download.
  3. The file goes to your Downloads folder. Press Ctrl+J in Edge or Chrome to see the list, or open File Explorer and click Downloads.
  4. If you sent more than one file, they arrive as a zip. Right-click it and choose Extract All.

On a Mac, downloads also go to Downloads, and Safari opens zips automatically by default. On a Chromebook, they appear in the Files app under Downloads.

How this compares with the other ways

Method Setup Cable Best for
USB cable, file transfer mode Plug in, choose File transfer on the phone Yes Large folders, full photo backups
Nearby-sharing apps for Windows Install and pair on both devices No Frequent transfers on the same network
Cloud drive (Google Drive, OneDrive) Sign in on both devices No Files you want to keep long term
Enzonic Send None No Quick one-off transfers up to 2 GB

The cable is still the right answer for moving thousands of photos or a huge video archive. For a quick handful of files, or when you are using a PC that is not yours, a browser transfer avoids installing or signing in to anything.

Common snags

The upload stopped. Android can suspend Chrome when you switch apps or the screen turns off. Stay on the page until it hits 100%.

I can't see my file in the picker. You are probably in the photo picker. Switch to the full file browser from the menu, then look under Downloads, Documents or the folder of the app that saved the file.

The PC can't find the code. Make sure you typed it at /receive, not on the main page, and that the transfer has not expired or used up its download limit.

The photos open as a zip. That's by design for multi-file sends. Extract the zip and the originals are inside, with any folder structure kept.

It is over 2 GB. Split it into several transfers, or use the cable.

A few extra tips

  • If the PC is right next to you, it can work the other way round too: upload on the PC, then scan the QR code with your phone camera. See phone to laptop for both directions.
  • Sending a full folder from the phone? Phone pickers usually select files rather than whole folders, so open the folder and select its contents. More in sending multiple files.
  • The Enzonic Send Android app gives you the same uploader plus a QR scanner, handy if you receive files often.
  • Files are encrypted in transit and at rest and are deleted automatically at expiry. You can delete a transfer yourself at any time.

FAQ

How do I transfer files from Android to PC without a USB cable?

Upload the files at send.enzonic.com in Chrome on your phone, then type the 6-digit code at send.enzonic.com/receive on the PC and download. No cable or pairing is needed.

Do my phone and PC need to be on the same Wi-Fi?

No. The transfer goes through the internet, so they can be on different networks. The PC can even download hours later, before the transfer expires.

Does this work with Mac, Linux or a Chromebook?

Yes. The receiving side is just a web page, so any computer with a modern browser can download the files.

Will photos and videos be compressed?

No. Original files are kept. Multiple files are put into a zip for convenience, but the photos and videos inside are unchanged.

How much can I transfer at once?

Up to 500 MB per transfer without an account, and up to 2 GB with a free account. For a full phone backup, a USB cable is still the better choice.
