Step by step
Gather the files
Put the RAW files, plus any XMP sidecars, into one folder on your computer.
Drag the folder in
Drop the folder onto send.enzonic.com. It is zipped in the browser with subfolders kept.
Protect the delivery
Set an expiry, and add a password and download limit if the shoot is for a client.
Send the link
Share the link, or the 6-digit code if the recipient is entering it at send.enzonic.com/receive.
A RAW file holds the sensor data before any in-camera processing, which is the whole reason you shoot it. Push it through a chat app or social platform and it is either rejected outright, or turned into a JPEG and the RAW data is gone. To hand RAW files to an editor, a client or your own second machine, you need a transfer that treats them as plain files and leaves them alone.
What Enzonic Send does with RAW files
Nothing, which is the point. It never opens, previews, converts or recompresses an upload. A single file arrives byte-identical. A folder or a batch of files is packed into a zip in your browser so the recipient gets one download with your folder structure intact, and the files inside are the originals.
That applies to every common format:
| Camera system | Typical RAW extension |
|---|---|
| Canon (recent bodies) | .CR3 |
| Canon (older bodies) | .CR2 |
| Nikon | .NEF |
| Sony | .ARW |
| Fujifilm | .RAF |
| OM System / Olympus | .ORF |
| Panasonic | .RW2 |
| Leica, Pentax, many phones, Adobe converter | .DNG |
| iPhone with ProRAW | .DNG |
Before you upload: a checklist
Include sidecar files
If you edit in Lightroom Classic, Capture One, darktable or similar, your adjustments often live outside the RAW file. Many apps write them to .xmp sidecars that sit next to each image with the same name. Send them in the same folder and the recipient's software can pick up your edits.
In Lightroom Classic, edits are stored in the catalog by default. Select the photos and use Metadata > Save Metadata to File (Ctrl+S on Windows, Command-S on Mac) to write sidecars before sending. DNG files store this information inside the file instead.
Organise the folder
Because folders are zipped with their structure, how you lay it out is how the recipient will see it. A simple layout works well:
2026-10-shoot-name/RAW/2026-10-shoot-name/JPEG-previews/2026-10-shoot-name/notes.txt
Including a small set of JPEG previews is a kindness to clients who cannot open RAW files and just want to choose favourites.
Check the total size
Select the folder and check its size: Properties in Windows File Explorer, Get Info (Command-I) in Mac Finder. RAW sizes depend on your camera's resolution and its compression setting, so a card's worth of files can add up fast.
- Up to 500 MB: send now, no account needed.
- Up to 2 GB: sign in with email or Google (free) first.
- More than 2 GB: split the shoot across several transfers, for example by day, by set or by card. There is no way around the 2 GB per-transfer cap, so planning the split up front saves time.
Sending from a computer
- Open send.enzonic.com in any modern browser.
- Drag the shoot folder from File Explorer or Finder onto the upload area. You can also drop a selection of individual files; see sending multiple files.
- Wait for the in-browser zip to finish and the upload to complete. Keep the tab open until it is done.
- Copy the link or note the 6-digit code.
Sending from a phone or tablet
Shooting ProRAW on an iPhone, or tethering a camera to an iPad? Use Choose File in Safari's upload menu rather than Photo Library. Depending on iOS version and settings, the Photos picker can hand over a converted version, while files picked from the Files app are passed through as-is. Save from Photos with Share > Save to Files first if needed.
On Android, pick the files through Chrome's file picker and browse to the folder where your camera app or card reader stores them.
Delivering to a client
Client galleries often need a little more control than a bare link:
- Password. Send it in a different message from the link.
- Download limit. 1, 5, 10, 50 or 100 downloads. A small number stops a forwarded link from circulating.
- Expiry. 1 hour, 1 day or 3 days anonymously; up to 7 days when signed in. Files are deleted automatically afterwards, and you can delete earlier yourself.
- Title and message. Add the shoot name and any notes about which files are selects.
Files are encrypted in transit and at rest. Enzonic Send is not end-to-end encrypted, which matters if your contract has specific data-handling terms. More on these options in password-protected file sharing and expiring file links.
When this is not the right tool
Be realistic about scale. For a full wedding or a multi-day job that runs to tens of gigabytes, 2 GB per transfer means many separate uploads, and the 7-day maximum is short for long-term client access. For that kind of delivery, a dedicated gallery service or a cloud drive you control is a better fit. For moving a set of selects to a retoucher, getting a card's worth to your laptop, or sending a few hero shots in full RAW, a quick browser transfer is the shortest path.
FAQ
Will my RAW files be compressed or converted?
No. Files are stored and delivered unchanged. A folder or multiple files arrive inside a zip, and the RAW files inside it are the originals.
Which RAW formats can I send?
Any of them. Enzonic Send does not care about the file type, so CR3, CR2, NEF, ARW, RAF, ORF, RW2, DNG and Apple ProRAW DNG files all go through the same way.
Will my Lightroom edits go along with the RAW files?
Only if they are written to XMP sidecar files or embedded in DNGs. Edits that live only in a Lightroom catalog stay on your computer, so save metadata to files first.
How many RAW files can I send at once?
As many as fit in 500 MB without an account, or 2 GB per transfer with a free account. Larger shoots can be split across several transfers.
Does zipping make RAW files smaller?
Not by much. Most RAW formats are already compressed internally, so expect the zip to be close to the total size of the files.
